Essential Oils in Your Garden
It's that time of year again...time to start thinking about what we're going to plant in our gardens!!! 🌱 I love having fresh produce available in my back yard, but that doesn't mean I'm very good at it! So, I need all the help I can get in providing the most protection and growth support for my plants.
Did you know that essential oils are actually beneficial to your plants??! 🌱 For various plants, there are "companion" essential oils that will help them flourish:
🌱 Basil essential oil: asparagus, green beans, broccoli, potatoes, roses and tomatoes
🌱 Lavender essential oil: apples, grapes, green beans
🌱 Geranium essential oil: peas
🌱 Peppermint essential oil: cabbage
🌱 Roman Chamomile essential oil: onions
🌱 Clary Sage essential oil: cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, potatoes
🌱 Thyme essential oil: broccoli, cabbage
Select the essential oil you need. Add 6 drops of oil to 2 gallons of warm water, and then let it cool. Then add another 2 gallons of cold water on top and water your plants as usual.
